Fibra DFA Laser Hair Removal in Glasgow
This state of the art machine uses Diode Laser, to remove hair – all colours, in all skin tones, permanently and without pain!
It’s pure line of light targets to the exact depth of the hair follicle (808 nanometers), without causing damage to the surrounding area.
Its fast speed and variable power – chosen dependent on your combination of hair and skin colour means that it can be tailored to give you the best results possible.
What does it do?
The Diode laser targets the blood supply, which is needed for normal hair growth, It does so by recognising the melanin in a hair follicle. The follicle accepts the light, absorbs the energy and transforms it to cause damage at the root. This affects the blood supply, and so during each hair growth cycle, the hair itself is weakened before eventually it stops growing completely.
Will it suit me?
The treatment is not suited to pregnant or breastfeeding women and those with other complications in their medical histories (Cancer, Pacemaker, Epiliepsy, uncontrolled Diabetes).
Are there any side effects/risks?
Although there is generally no pain during this treatment, you may feel some discomfort, but compared to other laser machines, this is much reduced.
How long does it take?
Treatment times and amount/frequency of appointments vary depending on the area being treated. We recommend between 6-10 sessions with at least 4 weeks in between. A course of treatment can last 12 months or more.
When are results visible?
Visible results are variable depending on structure and colour of hair and history of hair removal, but regardless of these an improvement should be noticeable after session 4.
Is there any preparation/aftercare needed?
The area must be shaved prior to treatment. Waxing and tweezing is not recommended as it can affect hair growth so you may need more treatments to get the desired result. Products used for homecare are provided for every course purchased and a regime will be discussed on first consultation.
